About Melinda Luthin
Melinda M. Luthin is the principal in the Corona del Mar office. Ms. Luthin has a varied civil litigation practice involving business, real estate, construction, and insurance disputes. She has represented businesses and individuals in complex, multi-million dollar lawsuits involving breach of contract, securities litigation, intellectual property, and unfair business practices. Ms. Luthin also represents clients in a number of real estate disputes involving issues such as construction defects, environmental contamination and compliance, as well as eminent domain and inverse condemnation. After honing her skills at blue-chip international law firms, Ms. Luthin founded Melinda Luthin Law in her adopted hometown of Corona del Mar in order to provide clients outstanding legal service at reasonable prices.
Principal Melinda Luthin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of California, Davis. True to her Aggie roots, Ms. Luthin returned to Davis to attend U.C. Davis School of Law. She graduated in the top five percent of her class (the highest honors) and is a member of the Order of the Coif and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. During her law school career, Ms. Luthin received the Wilkin Award of Excellence for top grades in Property Law, Real Estate Finance Law and Evidence. She was also appointed to the Trial Practice Honor Board.
Beginning in 2009, and for each year thereafter, Ms. Luthin has been given the highest peer rating of AV® Preeminent.™ Currently, she is recognized in the 2012 edition of the Martindale-Hubbell® Bar Register of Preeminent Women Lawyers™ - exclusively for women attorneys who have received the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards from their peers.
